Devon Moore, Co-President
Devon Moore is a screenwriter and producer at Ninth and James, where she oversees development and production of the company’s slate of narrative feature films.
Devon established Ninth and James in 2011 based on her abiding love of storytelling: Ninth and James is focused on telling great stories, period.
Devon met her creative partner, James Hyatt, in Chicago where they both produced digital communications projects. Their partnership is based on a shared vision and desire to translate their creative talents and business skills into long-form projects.
In addition to filmmaking, Devon is an accomplished marketing professional with over 15 years of branding, sales, and operations experience in the entertainment, digital media, and fashion industries.
James B. Hyatt, Co-President
James B. Hyatt is a director, screenwriter and producer at Ninth and James, where he oversees production and digital media efforts for the company.
James began his writing career as a crime reporter. Ever since, he’s gone looking for the story -- why people do what they do, and why it matters.
He’s evolved from print to producing feature-length documentaries, award-winning music videos, and short-form film and video. James co-produced “Moving Midway” (distributed by First Run Features) and two other feature documentaries, and more than 24 music videos.
In addition to filmmaking, James is an accomplished marketing professional with over 15 years of branding, social marketing and strategy experience in the consumer, entertainment, and automotive industries.
